Stefan Weirich is the co-founder at mimic, building frontier AI models for robot dexterity. The team based in Zurich and San Francisco brings together talent from Google DeepMind, Tesla, Stanford, and beyond, having raised more than $20M from top VCs. mimic pioneered video-action models for robots to predict the next actions in the real world, solving complex, unstructured tasks in manufacturing & logistics, positioning itself as Europe's leading contender in the global race toward general-purpose robot foundation models.

Stefan holds two master’s degrees, from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and RWTH Aachen University, and brings together experience from global corporations like Siemens Healthineers, early-stage start-ups such as RobCo, and cutting-edge research at ETH Zurich. His work in robotics and additive manufacturing has led to multiple patents and publications, including in Nature.
