Praktikant Organisation Developer Konferenz (m/w)

Du suchst eine spannende Herausforderung im Bereich Veranstaltungs- und Konferenzmanagement und hast Lust, die Premiere einer neu gestalteten Developer-Konferenz zu realisieren? Du hast idealerweise bereits erste Event-Erfahrungen gesammelt und möchtest in unterschiedlichen Veranstaltungsbereichen deine Ideen mit einbringen? Dann ist das 3-monatige Praktikum als Event-Manager (m/w) bei der Startup Events UG genau das Richtige für dich! Wir suchen mehrere Praktikanten, idealerweise von Anfang März bis Ende Mai.

Wer sind wir?

Wir sind das Team hinter der “Bits & Pretzels”, dem Gründerfestival in München, welches seit seiner Gründung 2014 eine unglaubliche Erfolgsgeschichte hingelegt hat. Von einem kleinen lokalen Gründerfrühstück, sind wir zu einem 3-tägigen internationalen Startup-Event geworden: 5.000 junge aufstrebende Unternehmer, herausragende Speaker aus der Startup-Szene und natürlich jede Menge Oktoberfest und Networking. In diesem Jahr richten wir erstmals eine bestehende, erfolgreiche Tech-Konferenz neu aus. Eine Konferenz nur für Developer, die ihnen hilft, Grenzen einzureißen, ihre Karrieren zu boosten und neue Inspirationen zu sammeln.

 Was solltest du mitbringen?

  • Du bist immatrikulierter Student im Sommersemester 2019
  • Erste Erfahrungen im Bereich Event-Management sind von Vorteil
  • Kenntnisse in der Developer Szene sind ein Plus
  • Organisationstalent, Flexibilität, Belastbarkeit & Eigeninitiative
  • Strukturiertes Denkvermögen, Teamgeist und Begeisterungsfähigkeit
  • Sehr gute Englisch-Kenntnisse

 Was sind deine Aufgaben?

  • Allgemeine Unterstützung bei der Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Koordination des Events
  • Mitarbeit im Teilnehmerhandling
  • Unterstützung im Speaker Management
  • Unterstützung im Bereich PR und Mitarbeit am Partnerprogramm
  • Recherchetätigkeit und Datenanalyse

Managing Director - CFO / COO (m/f)

Who we are:

Beginning as a small breakfast meeting for founders of the Munich startup ecosystem, Bits& Pretzels quickly became one of the most important international startup events in Europe. Founded in 2014, Bits & Pretzels now takes place in Munich every year as a 3-day event with valuable content for startups and investors and with the last day taking place at the famous Oktoberfest. As a conference “from founders for founders”, the most famous entrepreneurs from all around the world, as well as young ambitious entrepreneurs meet to share and discuss experiences and trends. The aim of Bits & Pretzels is not only to be the leading startup event in Germany but also to become an international flagship event.

Tasks

  • Management of Cashflow & Budgets - Project Controlling - Accounting, Tax and Legal Affairs - Month-end and year-end reports according to HGB and tax regulations
  • Cooperation with the companies partners and lawyers
  • Support with the development of new events with focus on financial feasibility


Qualifications 

  • Fluent German and English
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including leadership experience
  • Analytic excellence and quantitative thinking is mandatory
  • Startup experience is a strong plus
  • Consulting experience or MBA qualification is a plus
  • Easy to work with & positive attitude
  • Strong self starter

Head of Sales / Business Development (m/f)

Tasks

  • Development of a sales / business development strategy regarding ticket sales (startups, investors, corporates) partnerships & sponsoring
  • Realization of this strategy with a hands-on mentality, ambition and close cooperation to the head of marketing and the rest of the team
  • Analyze market, customer and competitor developments
  • Maintain and expand new and existing client and partner relationships
  • Setup and management of a CRM (Salesforce)
  • Possibility to build a sales team in the future


Qualifications 

  • Minimum of three years of relevant sales experience
  • Fluent German and English
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in leading a sales team is a strong plus
  • Strong self starter
  • Startup experience is a strong plus
  • Easy to work with & positive attitude

Head of Marketing and PR (m/f)

You have already gained substantial professional experience and would like to put your skills and ideas into practice? Then this is definitely the right opportunity for you. Our team at Startup Events UG is looking for a Head of Marketing and PR.

  • Development and leadership of the whole external communications: Delivery of external communications strategy as well as execution &  implementation 
  • Creation and realization of clear Communication of Benefits for each target group (founders, investors, …) 
  • Leading Press Relations: Establish press relationships 
  • Implementation of feedback loops: Consultation of customer feedback, brand management
  • Management of external marketing agency as well of interns 
  • Responsible for direct ticket sales 
  • Direct report to the management 


Qualifications 

  • Native English Speaker is a plus
  • Fluent German required
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in communication and content (strategy as well as implementation) 
  • Experience with all relevant online marketing channels like newsletter, social media, ...  
  • Strong self-starter 
  • Startup experience is a strong plus
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • Performance marketing experience is a plus
  • Easy to work with & positive attitude
  • Get-things-done-mentality
