Dr. Philipp Baaske is co-founder and Executive Chairman of NanoTemper Technologies and Vice President for Entrepreneurship at LMU Munich.

He built NanoTemper from an LMU spin-off into a global leader in biophysical instruments for drug discovery. With €54 million in revenue and 229 employees worldwide.

At LMU, he now wants to give researchers what he once needed himself: fast decisions, founder-friendly IP transfer and the freedom to build enduring companies.

His goal: a new science-based Mittelstand for Germany and Europe: turning excellent research into better medicines and technologies. His motivation is personal: his mother survived breast cancer thanks to Herceptin.
