Podimo CEO & Founder Morten Strunge is a serial entrepreneur behind company successes such as Mofibo, Onfone and Plenti. Upon graduating high school, he developed Onfone, a mobile service provider, and eventually brought it to market in Denmark. He scaled Onfone from eight employees and 10,000 subscribers to over 250 employees and 250,000 subscribers, with revenue exceeding 500 million eventually selling to Telco TDC in May 2011. Following his exit as CEO of Onfone and VP at Yousee A/S, he founded audiobook subscription service Mofibo in 2013, which eventually sold to Storytel in 2016. The latter welcomed him as its CEO, and he fueled the company’s growth from 50,000 subscribers to north of 2 million. In 2018, he stepped down from the company, and a conversation with his wife paved the way for Podimo. The subscription-based podcasting and audiobook service launched in 2019, and offers a wide range of award-winning local-language content across seven countries in Europe and Latin America, recently surpassing 1 million paying subscribers.
