Mark Schmitz is the Co-Founder and CEO of next-generation asset management firm equation. Based on cutting-edge research and science, equation develops proprietary software to source, evaluate and invest in leading VC funds. Prior to equation, he was a Partner and member of the founding team at leading European VC firm Lakestar (> 2bn EUR AuM). While at Lakestar, he established the firm’s Berlin office and invested in startups across a wide range of industries and technologies. Mark holds both law and business degrees (Bucerius Law School, TU Munich) and pursued post graduate studies at Stanford University.
