Gil Horsky is the Founding Managing Partner of FLORA Ventures an early-stage fund partnering with the best purpose-driven entrepreneurs redefining the $8T Food, Sustainability & Nutrition industries, to make food that is good for people and kind to the planet. The investment thesis is focused on the intersection of the Food industry with Planetary & Human Health, all underpinned by deep-tech. Gil is an early backer of some of the industry’s leading & most successful ventures: Lembas, OlsAro, Bluewhite (exited), Kencko, Chunk, Hu Kitchen (exited) & others, and his portfolio had raised +$300mm as follow-on investments.
Gil was previously the co-founder of SnackFutures, the Venture Capital Investment (CVC) arm from Mondelēz, the largest snacking company in the world. He led the company’s venture capital investments into disruptive AgriFood-Tech startups and emerging consumer food-brands.
Throughout his career, Gil had the privilege to work in a variety of commercial roles on some of the most iconic global food brands: Milka, Pepsi, Quaker Oats, Toblerone, Cadbury, Oreo, Tropicana & Nestle Purina.
Gil Horsky leveraged strong business & consumer insights to identify, develop and launch over $800mm of new food products, FoodTech technologies and businesses around the world. His professional career has taken him around the world gaining strong international experience in both developing & emerging markets.
