Felix Hutt is an author and investigative reporter. He has worked for stern and Der Spiegel and produces crime-focused documentaries for the television network RTL. He has been nominated multiple times for the German Reporter Prize (Deutscher Reporterpreis) and is a laureate of the European Press Prize for his reportage "71 Lives" (71 Leben). For years, he has utilized self-experimentation as a storytelling device in his reporting, books, and films to make his investigations immediately tangible for his audience. For his book Lucky Loser – How I Once Tried to Reach the Tennis World Rankings, Hutt embarked on the professional tennis tour at the advanced athletic age of 38. In his new book, One Man, One Year, No Alcohol, he explores alcohol, abstinence, and the freedom found in the high of sobriety.
