Dex has spent nearly two decades at the intersection of technology, international affairs and public life. He has served as speechwriter to the office of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, personal speechwriter to Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook, Head of Communications at SpaceX under Elon Musk, and most recently Head of Communications at Google DeepMind.

In October 2025, he left Big Tech to found the Center for Tomorrow, a global nonprofit dedicated to building flourishing societies in the age of AI. He serves as a Non-Executive Board Member at the Treasury, the UK's economic and finance ministry.
