Dr. Christoph Schmitz is a serial founder and CEO of the social enterprise Acker and the start-up AckerCompany. Together with a team of 200 employees, he is committed to transforming the education system and fostering greater appreciation for nature and food.

Acker’s award-winning educational programs, GemüseAckerdemie and AckerRacker, are now implemented at more than 2,000 schools, daycare centers, and kindergartens across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Before founding Acker, the agricultural economist with a PhD spent five years as a scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). He grew up on a farm and is also the founder of the social enterprise DeCo! in Ghana.
