Bastian Behrens has been a Star Wars fan since he was five. A visit to SpaceX in 2014 turned that into a job description. He studied aerospace engineering at TU Munich and founded Blackwave in 2016, first in high performance carbon parts for cars, then in space. Today 180 people develop and produce composite overwrapped pressure vessels, essential components for every launcher and satellite, in Munich, Bavaria and San Antonio, Texas. The goal is easy to say and hard to do: become the first real Tier 1 supplier of the New Space Age. Codename: Spacebosch.
