Ansgar Oberholz studied physics, mathematics, computer science, philosophy, and forensics without ever completing a degree; the distractions of 1990s Berlin were too great.

He worked as a musician and software producer, founded an agency for visual communication, and ran a model agency. In 2005, together with Koulla Louca, he opened St. Oberholz at Rosenthaler Platz in Berlin. SoundCloud, brands4friends, and HelloFresh, among others, were founded there.

Today, St. Oberholz operates flex offices and coworking cafés in Berlin and Munich, soon also in Cologne, as well as a workation retreat in Mecklenburg, and advises organizations on developing new work and space concepts.

Oberholz is a member of the Future Council (Zukunftsrat) of the Sparda Banks and serves on the supervisory board of Copro AG. His entrepreneur novel "Für hier oder zum Mitnehmen?" ("For Here or To Go?") was published by Ullstein Berlin in 2012.
