Prof. Dr. Angela Relógio
About
Angela Relógio is a German-Portuguese physicist-engineer and molecular biologist, Professor of Systems Medicine, and founder & CEO of TimeTeller. She is pioneering a new dimension of personalized medicine: time.
Her work is driven by a simple question: What if when we receive a treatment is just as important as which treatment we receive? By combining circadian biology, molecular diagnostics and AI, TimeTeller measures an individual’s biological clock and translates it into actionable information for personalized healthcare. With a first reimbursed product for cancer patients already on the market.
The company’s core focus is oncology, where TimeTeller aims to personalize treatment timing to improve efficacy while reducing side effects, making cancer therapies safer and more effective. Beyond oncology, the technology is being developed for applications in women’s health, metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases, healthy aging and performance. Because when it comes to health, timing matters.
Angela is a winner of the German Startup Award and Women TechEU and the Deutscher Gründerpreis. She is also the author of Die Chrono-Strategie and a passionate advocate for women in STEM and entrepreneurship.
Her connection to Bits & Pretzels has come full circle: in 2025, TimeTeller won the Bits & Pretzels HealthTech pitch competition, bringing Angela to the Main Stage. In 2026, TimeTeller was named a Top 5 Innovation of the Year at VivaTech and selected for TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco as the company takes its next steps toward international and US market expansion.
