Sebastian is a Founding Partner at KOMPAS VC, a leading European deep tech investor backing innovative technologies to increase industrial productivity, reduce emissions, and manage enterprise risk. Addressing the challenge of European competitiveness is at the heart of much of what KOMPAS does. Currently deploying Fund II (€160m). Sebastian started his career at The Boston Consulting Group. He is the co-founder of Digital Science, a leader in data analytics for academia and R&D intense industries. Prior to KOMPAS, Sebastian was the Managing Director of InMotion Ventures, Jaguar Land Rover's VC arm. Notable investments include Lyft and more recently Treble, Makersite, Epoch Biodesign and Again. Sebastian is based in the Netherlands and holds an BA in History from Cambridge University, an MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from London Business School. In his spare time Sebastian is a passionate skier and enjoys spending time with his family.
