About:

Sebastian Borek has been Managing Director of High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) since October 2025, heading the Digital Tech investment team. He has over 25 years’ experience building digital business models, technology-driven start-ups, and venture capital structures internationally. Coming from a traditional family business background, he excels at connecting established industries with the tech start-up world. As a serial founder, experienced CEO and ecosystem architect, he has established successful tech ventures in the US and Europe. Through the Founders Foundation and the “Hinterland of Things” conference, he has also made a significant contribution to the German start-up ecosystem. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from New York University and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen.
