Only 37 venture funds closed in Europe in Q1 2026, while the median fund grew 70%. A record share closed smaller than their predecessor. Capital is concentrating, and LPs are rewarding narrower strategies over broader ones. This panel takes the fundraise apart from three sides: the institution deciding whether to commit, a manager who has just been through it, and the structural levers that decide whether a smaller fund still works.
