Harry Nelis
About
Harry joined Accel as one of the first members of its London office in 2004, following more than a decade in Silicon Valley. On the West Coast, Harry was an engineer and founder of a venture-backed software company and is all too aware of what it’s like to be in a founder’s shoes. At Accel, Harry focuses on consumer internet, software and fintech companies. His current portfolio includes some of Europe’s most successful private technology companies, including Celonis, CHECK24, Miro, Personio and Zepz.
More recently, Harry led Accel’s investments in Cambridge Aerospace and Dash0. Harry has seen his portfolio companies IPO on three continents, including French online fashion retailer Showroomprive.com, Funding Circle, and KAYAK. In addition, Harry was responsible for Accel’s investment in Instana (acquired by IBM for $0.5B).
