Carolina Aguilar is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of INBRAIN Neuroelectronics, a clinical-stage company pioneering graphene-based brain–computer interfaces (BCIs) designed to decode and modulate neural activity with high precision. INBRAIN is advancing a new class of neuroelectronic therapies aimed at treating neurological disorders through real-time, adaptive intervention.
Ms. Aguilar brings more than 20 years of experience across medical devices and digital health, with deep expertise in neuromodulation and global commercialization. Prior to founding INBRAIN, she spent over a decade at Medtronic, where she held senior leadership roles and led international teams scaling innovative healthcare technologies.
At INBRAIN, she has led the company from concept to clinical execution, achieving key regulatory milestones including FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and advancing the first graphene-based neural interface into human clinical studies. The company collaborates with leading partners including Merck KGaA, Mayo Clinic, and Microsoft.
Recognized as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, she is helping define the future of precision neurotechnology at the intersection of neuroscience, materials science, and AI.
