Simon Schmincke is a Partner at Creandum, based in Berlin, investing across Europe and the United States.

Before entering venture capital, Simon built deep operating experience across Asia and the United States. He began his career at Rocket Internet, where he co-founded Foodpanda in Singapore and served as CFO, before co-founding HelloFresh US and leading the business as CEO from New York City. These roles gave him firsthand experience scaling companies in fast-growing, operationally complex markets.

Simon began his venture career at Earlybird Venture Capital in Berlin, where he led the seed investment in N26. He joined Creandum in 2016, where his investment focus has centered on fintech and AI. His investment track record includes companies such as Taxfix, Tide, Factorial, Navan, CapiMoney, Ivy, and SEON.

Simon holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Münster and a Master’s degree from the University of St. Gallen, with additional academic experience at Virginia Tech and the University of Toronto.
