Zarah Bruhn, born 1991, is a founder, social entrepreneur, investor, board member, and policy advisor. She started her career at a venture capital fund before founding socialbee at 25 — a company that has since placed thousands of refugees in jobs across Germany, tackling the skills shortage while making German business more diverse and open to the world. In 2022, she became Germany's first Commissioner for Social Innovation at the Federal Ministry of Research. Shortly after, she joined the Federal Government's Council for Sustainable Development. Since 2025, she leads SPRIND.Society at SPRIND — Germany's Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation — where she hunts for social breakthroughs that fundamentally change how we live together. Her work has been recognized with multiple awards, including Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
