Christian backs founders building in software, deep tech, robotics, energy, and AI, with a particular conviction around European sovereignty and the companies shaping it. He also serves on the Supervisory Board of AUTO1 Group (XETRA: AG1G).

Christian has been part of the European startup ecosystem since 2010, first as an entrepreneur and then as an angel investor. From 2019 to 2023, he chaired the German Startup Association, where he helped push through meaningful reforms, including a national overhaul of employee stock ownership rules that had long held back the ecosystem; in 2021, Handelsblatt named him Investor of the Year.

Entrepreneurship runs in the family: his great-grandfather co-founded Miele. That history is less a talking point than a quiet reminder of what it actually takes to build something that lasts, which is the question he asks every founder he meets: why are you doing what you do?
