Head of Marketing (M/F/D)

Your Role

As the Head of Marketing you own and lead the marketing strategy of Bits & Pretzels. You help reach our goals by ensuring that we are seen and heard by our core customer groups consisting of startup founders, investors, and the overall entrepreneurial ecosystem. At Bits & Pretzels, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the image and communication strategy of one of the most loved brands in the startup ecosystem—with a huge community.

Your tasks & responsibilities

• Selling out the Bits & Pretzels 2023 events efficiently using creative marketing and communications strategies
• Reach our target audiences through creating unique and successful content on our social media channels
• Manage our CRM and run email marketing campaigns to promote our ticket sales
• Run PR campaigns, write press releases and expand our network of journalists
• Collaborate with actors in the startup ecosystem to expand our media and network partnerships
• Working closely with other teams (Partnerships, Program, Startups, Event) to support our marketing and communication needs.

Your Profile

• You have a minimum of 5 years experience in digital marketing, ideally with a focus on content creation or social media
• You are a strong communicator and an expert when it comes to creating awesome content and telling the right story
• You base your decisions on data and love to work in an independent and structured way
• You know your way around the startup ecosystem and have a natural curiosity for entrepreneurship
• You are fluent and comfortable with German and English
• You have basic skills in image editing tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• A high degree of organizational talent & independent working style

Startup Events GmbH is the company behind the Bits & Pretzels events.

In 2014, Bits & Pretzels started as a small founders' breakfast with only 80 participants.

Today, 5,000 founders, the world's leading companies, and the most inspiring speakers join our annual festival. They share our belief that entrepreneurship can drive positive change in Europe and all over the world.
