You will receive an email notification at the latest 1 month before the event, you applied for, starts. This e-mail will include application acceptance, contract, link for buying your ticket and time/place for volunteer orientation check-in/meeting.
You will not pay for the ticket!
You will be temporarily employed as a supporter with a wage around 140 euros net.
However, you must buy a ticket for the same price as your salary. We apologise for this inconvenience, still in the end you will have a “free” festival experience. If your application gets accepted, we will send you a link to buy this special volunteer ticket.
-Traveling to and from Munich and the ICM

Yes.
On the day before the event starts, we will organize a volunteer orientation meeting at ICM.
Joining this meeting is absolutely mandatory for all volunteers. We will have important information to debrief. Failure to arrive in time may result in loss of the volunteer status and all related benefits.
For the Bits and Pretzels founders festival, the volunteer orientation meeting takes place on Saturday, 24 September 2022 from noon - 2pm. Please plan your travel so that you arrive in Munich in time.

Please do not apply if you are officially registered as job-seeking (at the Arbeitsamt) during event dates. Please do not apply if you are a recipient of social welfare (Sozialhilfe-Empfänger) during event dates.
At the beginning of the festival applicants must be 18 years or older.

Please do not apply, if you cannot work all the 3 days of the Bits & Pretzels festival. It is not possible to work only one day or in certain time slots. Unfortunately, we can't make any exceptions here.
The events and the volunteer orientation meetings take place at ICM International Congress Center, 81823 Munich.
Bits & Pretzels Founders Festival

Most shifts are timed between 6:30am and 7:00pm.
You will work up to 5 hours on each day of the event.
